Aromatherapy Oil Massage
The regional workhorse of the day-spa menu: long, flowing Swedish-style strokes with warmed essential oils. Where the mid-range spas of Vietnam and Thailand most dramatically undercut Western pricing at equal or better quality.
What it costs
What to expect
Standard table massage with draping; you undress to comfort level (disposable underwear usually provided). Oil pressure runs lighter than Thai massage but Southeast Asian therapists still work deep by Western standards. A short foot-wash ritual and tea usually bookend the session.
Etiquette & modesty
Draping is professional and standard across the region. Same-gender therapists can be requested anywhere reputable. Shower access is normal after oil treatments — take it, especially before dinner plans.
