Balinese Massage
Bali’s home tradition: a full-body oil massage combining long strokes, skin rolling, and gentle acupressure, unhurried by design. In Ubud it is performed in open-air pavilions that are half the treatment.
What it costs
What to expect
Table massage with draping, floral oils, and a slower rhythm than Thai or Vietnamese work. Often sold as the anchor of a multi-step ritual: massage, lulur scrub, yogurt splash, flower bath. Book the ritual — the sequence is the point.
Etiquette & modesty
Draping standard; disposable underwear provided for scrub-and-bath sequences. Treatments may open with a small bell or moment of stillness. Rp 50,000–100,000 is a warm tip.
